My family and I got food from this place over the sumner last year and it was really good, which is why I came back. Today my daughter and I were in the area and decided to stop in for dinner. I don't know what happened between now and then but the food we got today was so disgusting! I thought it was just me but I could tell the oil they fry in was old. We both got chicken wing platters with vegetable fried rice and the chicken was indeed fried in old oil, and the vegetable fried rice tasted old too. They put mushroom pieces in the rice, which I've never seen mushrooms in typical vegetable fried rice and the mushrooms looked old. The food also had a weird smell and left a terrible aftertaste in our mouths. I hope it doesn't make us sick! Needless to say we will never buy food from this place again, and do not recommend anyone else to eat here, buyer beware!
My family and I have been going to China Star for over 15 years! Each time they are incredibly nice, and the food comes out consistently delicious. I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants in Delaware, but they are still the best I have had. They are a core part of Smyrna, and if you haven’t been there you should definitely give it a try!
I love the Chicken and Broccoli at China Star in Smyrna De. The Chef adds the perfect amount of Chicken and Broccoli and the flavor of the sauce is perfect no need to add anything to the sauce. The employees are nice even on their busy days. Typing this review is making me want a Large Chicken and Broccoli. All of their dishes are delicious. (My Family’s Opinion) The atmosphere is quiet, when you enter the Restaurant the floors are clean and the kitchen has the waiting area smelling delicious.
